I posted a patio design plan back in July, promising finished photographs that week. We forgot the camera on the day of completion and haven’t had the chance to pop back. Now though thanks to our lovely clients who have sent us some over, I can finally show the completed patio design. We had completed a patio for this clients neighbours , they saw it and liked it and so Pete drew up this patio design for them . In the original design there was no water feature but during construction the clients thought they would like to add a bubbling boulder, and so it was added to the planting beds. The garden to the far side sloped away slightly so Pete incorporated a small retaining rockery which both retains and is a nice feature.
The patio design was to add a large entertaining area and access alongside the house with a small retaining rockery were the garden sloped slightly. The patio is Indian stone with stone sett detail.
The existing patio was very plain and uninteresting with not much room to entertain
The final patio design using indian paving and indian setts for detail
The bubbling water boulder adds a focal point and interest, the birds love it !!
The large circular area of patio gives plenty of room to entertain
The garden had a slight slope so we added a small retianing rockery to deal with this and add interest
Sometimes the Indian stone can have fossils in it like this one – each slab is unique our clients loved this little detail in their new patio
