The clients brief was to make this awkward sloping garden into a family friendly and usable outdoor space. Pete designed a split level patio with built in stone bench and planter to retain the higher end and make a feature of the patio. The patio is laid with Indian paving and edged with Indian stone setts to add detail. The bench and raised planters are built in Purbeck stone with Indian paving copings, the steps are built in the same. The planting is mostly native with scented climbers along the fence line and behind the seating areas.
